Meet Garth Click, Nashville Estate Planning Attorney
Hi there! I’m Garth Click, a Nashville native and local attorney who has helped hundreds of people set up wills to ensure that their children, families and assets are properly taken care of should something happen to them. During the past 14 years, I’ve handled everything from simple wills to sophisticated trusts and multi-million dollar estates.
No matter the size or complexity of the estate, my goal is simple––to make the process painless for you now and stress-free for your loved ones later.
A little more about me
I’m also a...
Husband and Dad. I’ve been married for 15 years to my wife, Laura. I'm also the father of an active and imaginative three-year-old named James. My favorite thing is to spend time with the two of them.
Dog lover. I have a 14-year-old chocolate lab that I love so much I carry up and down our stairs every day because her hips have failed her.
Sci-Fi fan. I’m a child of the 80s who grew up loving Star Wars and Star Trek. Just don’t make me choose between the two.
Bourbon aficionado. I love trying different bourbons. And, when we're not in the middle of a pandemic, visiting local cocktail bars in search of the best old fashioned in Nashville.
Nashville native. I grew up just outside of Nashville in White House, Tenn. and I graduated from White House High School. I attended Belmont University starting in 1998, and with the exception of an almost three year hiatus to attend law school, I have been a resident of Nashville.
My Professional Background
Looking for a more traditional bio? Here you go.
I have been practicing law for 14 years, serving hundreds of clients throughout Middle Tennessee – including Robertson, Sumner, Davidson, Cheatham and Montgomery counties.
Prior to opening my own practice in 2011, I spent three years working as an associate attorney in the Law Office of Larry Wilks, in Springfield, Tenn. Larry was a gifted and well-respected attorney and I was honored to start my career under his guidance.
In 2013, I was named a member of the 2013 Tennessee Bar Association’s Leadership Law class, an invite-only program that trains legal leaders from across the state.
And for more than six years, I served as a Board Member for the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the Tennessee Bar Association. In this role, I spearheaded Wills for Heroes events, assisted with the Tennessee State High School Mock Trial Competition, and participated in a number of pro bono clinics.
I’m also an active member of the Robertson County Bar Association and have previously served as president of that organization. I’m also a member of the Tennessee and Davidson County Bar Associations.
I’m a proud member of Phi Delta Theta and had the honor to serve on the advisory board for the chapter at Belmont University for four years.
I earned my law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in Valparaiso, Ind. As a law student, I worked as a law clerk for the Federal Public Defender in the Northern District of Indiana. I received my undergraduate degree in history from Belmont University.
